Freddy: On the Boardwalkby =level-13

Photography / Still Life / Dolls and Figures

You see people on the boardwalk all the time.
Ones you'd like to meet. Ones you like to look at. Charismatic people that you find yourself turning your head to look at as they go past. At times like that you should be wary. Moreover you should be glad that you are not the fixation of these people's attentions, because more often than not... you really don't want to be. Their allure is a tool; one that has been honed and developed into a fine art. It is used to ensnare and disarm and believe me when I tell you, Freddy is no different. Oh no. In fact... he's one of the worst for it. Beware, my friend. Beware the beautiful people on the boardwalk. It is a modern day hunting ground and you could be next.

Yay for more Freddy. We all love us some Freddy, right? XD (You better say yes or he may not be very happy). Again, still going through and editing some older pictures which I quite like. I hope you guys enjoy them too.

I loved how the lens flare of the sun are surrounding his head!! It feels like he has a kind of aura. And indeed, his expression and body language make it feels so too. ♥

It's funny that we always have a doll like that. He has no bad angle, no bad lighting, everything looks good XD I love when this happens, 'cause sometimes I really have to learn how to photograph a doll, otherwise I won't have good pictures, so I can't take them to meets because people won't know how to make them look good LOL

haha I have many a doll that has certain 'angles' and many that just turn out no matter how you flop em down XDD I do think it's all about how the sculpt catches light though.. but once you learn a sculpt's tricks, it usually becomes second nature to put it in the spots it looks best too ^_^

Yeah, I think so too... some sculps catch light in such a different way that you need to pay a lot of attention when photographing to not make 'em look weird... after the first attempts, it's just like handling the dolls. When we first started we were so "OMFG careful they will break" but now we are so used to how to handle them that sometimes it seems we're ding it like they were potato sacks, but it's all safe because it's our second nature LOL

haha I know right? XDD I still freak out if someone I don't trust touches them though. Or someone that's not a doll person and they all are like OMG ITS FACE IS SO PRETTY *TOUCHES ALL OVER IT* I'm like =_= get away from my doll before you ruin an $80 face up D8

Yesssssssss thank God I'm not alone inf this cold World!! I don't really freak out, but when someone I don't trust is around, I start to get a little uneasy and keep looking at the doll really frequently to see if everything is okay. Too lucky I'm the one who does all of their face ups, but still, I've had some works literally ruined after some people scratched my doll's faces with their finger nails in doll meets. I got so upet that I wanted to make the person swallow all of her fingers LOL XD
